The dyson brand is being forced to clean up after a series of high-profile customer complaints.
The company is facing a barrage of angry complaints from customers after it was forced to recall a duffel bag with an advertisement for its cleaning services.
The bag, called the Dyson Cleaner, features a logo emblazoned with the words “We’re the only company in the world with the power to clean your clothes and the power of a duster.”
The company has since issued an apology to customers, saying it did not mean to offend.
The campaign comes as more than 2 million people are reporting problems with the vacuum cleaner, which has become a target for angry customers and a headache for the company.
The brand, which started out making vacuum cleaners, said in a statement that it was taking the matter seriously.
“We have taken the matter very seriously and are working with the local authorities to understand how this could have happened,” it said.
The recall was announced on Thursday after customers reported a smell and the product being unclean.
Customers said they bought the product after noticing a droning sound when they were cleaning their clothes.
Some of the complaints said the product did not work as advertised and did not leave a dent in the duster.
“The product has an unpleasant odor and does not work,” one woman wrote in a comment posted on Twitter.
The manufacturer of the dyson bag told NBC News that the bag was not intended to be a cleaner and that the company has taken the product off sale.
“In the future, the product will be made to remove this odour from our products,” the company said in an email to NBC News.
“This product will not be returned or refunded.”
Dyson said it was “deeply sorry” for the inconvenience caused by the customer complaints and said it would “take all necessary steps to remedy this situation and ensure that it never happens again.”
The product was not available in the United States.
The duster bag is made of plastic and can be purchased online.
