‘Frozen’ star Anna Faris will return as Elsa in Frozen 3D, Disney announces

Anna Farris will return to the animated feature Frozen 3DS, Disney announced.

Farris will play Anna, a young princess who goes on an adventure in the icy kingdom of Arendelle with her sister Elsa, as well as the rest of the Frozen gang, the company confirmed on Twitter.

Disney first teased Frozen 3 in 2016, with the film hitting theaters March 18.

The film follows the story of two sisters who fall in love with a young boy and have to work together to protect him from an evil force.

Disney said that Faris’ character, Olaf, will be voiced by Hayley Atwell, who plays the role of Queen Elsa in the animated Disney film.

“Elsa has always been the princess that everyone loves,” Disney said in a statement.

“When she became a child, Anna was the most important thing to her and she became the most famous princess.

She’s always been so strong and fearless, but now she’s going to be stronger and bolder.

Anna is the one who will break the ice and take control of Arentelle once again.

The film’s cast includes Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o, Oscar-winning actor Andy Samberg, Emmy Award-winning actress Idina Menzel, Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, Oscar nominee Amy Poehler, Emmy winner Kristin Kreuk, Emmy award-winning writer and producer Craig Thomas, Oscar nominated writer and director Justin Lin, Emmy nominee Lily Tomlin, and Academy Award-nominated actress Emma Roberts.

Disney will release the Frozen 3d animated feature in the United States on Dec. 18, 2019.
